What did you do before Kibble?

I have worked in Human Resources (HR) for over a decade so it has been a long time since I did anything else. Previously I had various jobs and worked in bars.

How long have you worked at Kibble?

I have been with Kibble for five years now! It is hard to believe.

What made you want to work for Kibble?

Kibble has a reputation as being a very good employer, one of the best in the third sector I believe.

Can you give us an overview of your role at Kibble and what area you work in? Please explain about the service?

In the HR department we handle recruitment, absence, employee queries and employee relations. It is a very busy office and no two days are ever the same, but that is what makes it so interesting.

What is the best thing about working in Kibble/tell us one thing you love about your job?

I am a people person and enjoy working with different people every day. I love that my job gives me the opportunity to chat with people from across the organisation and the diverse range of services.

Can you share a defining moment or story about your time at Kibble?

When I first joined Kibble, I was amazed at the length of service some of the staff had. I was also inspired by the number of people who had started on sessional contracts and had progressed to managerial positions. The retention level was something I had never experienced in previous organisations. I was intrigued and impressed. I was studying at University and actually changed my dissertation to focus on the reason for the high retention in Kibble.

What advice would you give to someone thinking of joining Kibble?

It’s a great organisation to work for and they look after their staff well.  It is a place where no matter what job role you are in, you feel as if you are making a difference.
