If you cast your mind back to the sixth episode of this podcast, you may recall Karen McGregor of Firstport talking about how Delivered Next Day Personally was one of their brightest success stories.
In three years D.N.D.P. have had explosive growth, and this lies in Managing Director Bruce Gunn’s vision to ensure that head and heart are balanced, that quality is not sacrificed at the expense of growth, and making his employees feel valued and empowered.
Bruce’s story, and the story of D.N.D.P. itself, is harrowing, inspiring and remarkable. Bruce tells the story of the genesis of DNDP and the things that led to its creation during the interview, so I don’t want to spoil that for you. Suffice to say, it’s a cracking listen!
D.N.D.P. is a mail and courier delivery company with a difference. Whilst all employers strive to adopt the principles of acceptance and inclusiveness, D.N.D.P. put their money where their mouth is and actively employ those with disabilities and long-term health conditions. Those that are often overlooked by society because of their long-term health problems are employed by D.N.D.P., regardless of the level of support and accommodation that they require in order to fulfil their daily needs. People with long-term health problems and disabilities are no different to anyone else in their desire to work, and D.N.D.P. help them fulfil that aspiration, empowering them in the process.
