Fostering Training | Qualifications & Training for Foster Carers

We are passionate about professional and personal development of our foster carers and want to ensure that you are fully skilled and confident to carry out the role therefore we provide high quality training and development to all our foster carers to meet the needs of the carer and the young person. All full-time foster carers must complete the following mandatory courses:

  • HNC Social Services
  • SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People)

These qualifications are certified by the Scottish Qualifications Authority and delivered by Kibble trainers and external assessors within the organisation.

Do I Need any Qualifications to Foster?

No, there are no training pre-requisites to foster with Kibble as all training will be provided upon registration. The most important thing is that you enjoy working with children and young people and want to make a difference!
