Training
Kibble has long recognised that the complex needs of the young people in our care demand a skilled and qualified workforce. We put great effort into our comprehensive training and development programme, which ensures that staff in all disciplines and at all levels are fully equipped and supported to maximise their skills and competency levels. With over 400 staff, as an enterprising third sector organisation delivering highly specialised services, it is essential that Kibble maintains a cycle of continuous improvement in all areas of operation.
Improving Standards
The National Residential Child Care Initiative has identified the need for all residential child and youth care staff to be qualified to degree level or equivalent by 2015. As a result of our new strategic community partnership with the University of the West of Scotland, Kibble will be working to develop a modular degree level course. This will be based on existing national programmes, Kibble’s response to the increasingly complex needs of the young people with whom we work, and specially adapted international programmes from the field.
