Specialist Intervention Services
Specialist Intervention Services (SIS) at Kibble encompass four distinct services providing a range of specialist assessments and interventions for young people at risk and their families.

- Psychological consultation for all young people accommodated at Kibble
- Psychological assessment of risk and needs by forensic psychologists to inform future care planning
- A range of individualised psychological interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
- Motivational work and individually-tailored interventions for young people who find it difficult to engage
- Interventions delivered at a pace and learning style that suit the individual
- A range of evidence-based intervention programmes available to meet the young person's needs and build on their strengths. These can include: cognitive skills development, anxiety management, social skills training, anger management, high-risk offending programmes, tackling substance use.
- Family assessment and consultation.
- Parenting Groups: Handling Teenage Behaviour Programme
- Family Support Group: Giving parents a forum to share their experiences in a supportive environment
- Intensive individualised family interventions
- Kibble Research and Evaluation Forum undertaking research to inform best practice
- Ongoing qualitative and quantitative research
- Links with a range of national and international universities and academic bodies.
