Secure Services

Kibble’s Safe Centre is a secure unit that looks after children and young people who need a safe and controlled environment to prevent them harming themselves or others.

The Safe Centre is a protective, controlled setting designed to provide young people with a positive environment at a point of crisis in their lives. Kibble is the only centre in Scotland to integrate its secure services with the centre’s wider residential, educational and community services.

We put a strong emphasis on a broad educational curriculum provided by teachers on site and teachers from the main school campus. This enables us to ensure that all our resident young people are provided with every opportunity for their all round personal development. It also prevents the problems of isolation from society and dis-engagement from education often associated with secure care.

We are committed to treating young people with respect and believe that the services on offer at Kibble can help these young people regain a sense of purpose and transform their lives into ones based on positive relations with family, community and society.
