

Kibble Education and Care Centre, in Paisley is to be given a £180,000 grant to help expand their services.
The money from the Communities Scotland Futurebuilders programme will go towards a new unit being built on Kibble’s campus, which will include a therapeutic Snoezelen room, which will provide a calming environment for the troubled and troublesome young people at Kibble..
Kibble is the largest multi-service centre of its kind in the UK and looks after more than 100 young people referred to them by local authorities and the Children’s Hearing system.
Announcing the Futurebuilders grant, Scotland’s Communities Minister Malcolm Chisholm said: “I am pleased to announce investment funding for Kibble who have illustrated sound business approaches and development plans which will allow them to expand and develop more valuable services for their communities.”
Kibble chief executive Graham Bell said: “We are delighted that our work with young people has been recognised in this way and with the support we are getting from the Scottish Executive’s Futurebuilders programme.
“It will help us in our continuing investment in Kibble so we can provide an even better and more innovative service to help the young people coming to us.”
