K in the Park

Staff and boys at Kibble have been doing their bit to help make poverty history. A fun day – dubbed K in the Park – was held in the campus at Goudie Street, Paisley to raise funds for African charities and to gather signatures on a petition calling for the G8 world leaders to take action to end poverty in Africa. The fund-raising events included beat the goalie, soak the teacher, tug of war and karaoke. The activities raised £200 and almost 127 signatures were collected for Bob Geldof’s Make Poverty History petition. Dr Joan Mackenzie, head of education at Kibble education and care centre said: “Our K in the Park day was great fun, but it also brought home to the boys and staff the serious message of eradicating world poverty.”
