A FUNDRAISING effort by boys from Paisley’s Kibble Education and Care Centre was music to the ears of two hospices in Renfrewshire. The Kibble Singing Group recently performed Christmas songs in County Square and The Piazza shopping centre collecting £220 in donations for charity.
The money is being split between ACCORD Hospice, in Paisley and St Vincent’s Hospice, in Johnstone. The Kibble lads have now presented two cheques to both the hospices.
St Vincent’s administrator, Lorna Speirs said: “What a fantastic effort from the boys and we’re very grateful for their donation.”ACCORD’s fundraising manager, Ken Mathie said: “A big thank-you goes out to the lads from Kibble. Once again, they set out to raise money for two very worthy causes and they delivered in grand style.”
Kibble’s chief executive, Graham Bell said: “Congratulations to the boys and staff of our singing group who are a great credit to Kibble by regularly raising money for local charities. “And they’re not bad at singing, either!”
