TileWorks delivers a professional tiling service for all wall and floor tiling requirements.

The service is aimed at both an internal and external customer base and includes estimates and advice.

What activities and tasks will the young person perform?

The young person will be trained in all tiling skills and assist the tiler in preparing surfaces, measuring, grouting, cutting and tiling. They will learn to use all equipment safely, visit clients and gain experience in pricing jobs and preparing quotes.

What transferable skills will the young person take from this role?

The young person will learn the broad array of skills required to become a competent tiler. Other skills include developing people skills and learning the importance of working as part of a team and customer reliance on a job being carried out thoroughly and efficiently.

What is your background?

Over 4 years experience in tiling, with a recognised qualification from Glasgow College of Building and Printing.
