We are now providing intensive fostering services, offering placements to young people currently in, or at risk of, being placed in residential school. These services are fully integrated with educational or training placements with structured activities. If you are interested in discussing this service in more detail you are welcome to get in touch with . Below are the details of the posts we are currently looking to fill.

Professional Foster Carers - you require:

Experience as either a foster carer preferably working with challenging young people 12-18 years or
Experience of working with adolescents into adulthood through volunteering, work or parenting
An understanding of looked-after children's needs and safe crisis management.
The skills and ability to work as part of a professional care team within your own home.
The capacity to provide one full-time placement with their own bedroom or
The capacity to provide a part-time respite placement with their own bedroom.

You receive:

Professional Fostering Fees in the range of £27,216 - £28,545 dependent on experience and professional qualifications (pro-rata for respite)
Fostering Allowances (based on the Fostering Network's recommended rates) £9,933.04 (11-15 years) and £12,081.68 (16 + years)
Generous tax free earnings based on self-employed status
Up to 28 days paid respite per year based on earned leave and up to 28 days paid retainer per year based on half professional fee
Professional support; ongoing informal and formal supervision, weekly team meetings and monthly support groups with access to a 24 hour duty service
Ongoing professional development opportunities through accessing internal and external training and gaining nationally recognised child care qualifications

We welcome applications from those who reflect the diversity of the communities we serve. In order to be considered you will need to reside within a 25-mile radius of Paisley to undertake full time foster care and within a 35 mile radius to undertake part-time foster care.
