IFS - Relationships Build Brains

Relationships Build Brains Seminar - Friday March 2nd 2012

Kibble's Intensive Fostering Services (IFS) will be hosting another Difference Day Event on the 2nd March 2012 at the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew. The day will consist of a morning seminar looking at how early disrupted attachment patterns can be addressed through positive relationships, followed by a two-course carvery lunch. In the afternoon, staff from IFS will invite you to browse the stalls which reflect the work they do, including recruitment of Intensive Foster Carers, promoting health and wellbeing of young people, supported care 18+, keyworking and learning. Young people from IFS will also have a stall in aid of Cancer Research with home baking, soaps, candles and a raffle.

The European Federation of Conflict Management in Education and Care (EFeCT) is a network of people who believe in strength based programmes for working with young people; we have a particular interest in the Life Space Crisis Intervention model and the work of Reclaiming Youth International.  In recent years our annual event has been held in Blankenberghe, Belgium (2008), Amsterdam, Holland, (2009), Munich, Germany (2010) and Ghent, Belgium (2011).

A number of highly respected international speakers will discuss strength-based approaches to conflict management.
