Safe Crisis Management (SCM) has been used in the USA for over 30 years by organisations working in the fields of severe emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning disabilities and open and secure juvenile correctional and mental health facilities.
SCM Europe was established in 2005 as a separate not for profit training provider. It has focussed the programme on young people and adults with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
The full programme including the physical intervention component takes 3 days with an annual refresher of 2 days. The specific package is tailored to meet requirements of individual organisations depending on the needs of their service users.
