KibbleWorks Warehouse works in Partnership with GreenWorks and supplies organisations and charities across Scotland with second hand office furniture, donated by large corporates.
In redistributing the goods, environmental and social requirements are being fulfilled. Smaller organisations benefit from office furniture that would otherwise go to landfill. Roadies operates as part of KibbleWorks Warehouse and this involves the transportation, setting up and dismantling of stands at marketing events and trade fairs.
The young people in the warehouse perform a variety of tasks including making up orders, helping deliver goods across Scotland, undertaking sales and marketing and forklift driving.
They will also help with the day to day running of the warehouse including restocking display areas, tidying and paying particular attention to keeping a clean and safe work area.
The young person will have a clear understanding of the requirements and activities of working in a warehousing environment.
He will further learn how to work as part of a team and deal with customers. He will gain knowledge of sales and the basics of marketing and will learn the importance of customer care.
The Staff in KibbleWorks Warehouse come from a wealth of backgrounds and have worked in various roles including warehousing and welding. The majority of staff members joined Kibble via the Men Can Care project and are dual trained in both the care sector and the warehousing industry.
