FrameWorks, A Kibble enterprise

The frames are hand made and suited to the customer's individual requirements. The client group encompasses the local community and surrounding areas, external agencies that work closely with Kibble and the internal staff group.

What activities and tasks will the young person perform?

The young person will learn all aspects of picture framing including selecting the most suitable mount board and frame for the task at hand. Other aspects of training tasks will be to plan out the framing task from start to finish, assist the customer and begin to think creatively and put forward any ideas. Further duties will include operating the day to day running of the workshop and dealing with wholesalers. They will also gain a sense of fulfilment and achievement in designing their own work and using their imagination.

What transferable skills will the young person take from this role?

The young person will be fully aware of any framing workshop and will be able to use any framing equipment with confidence. He will be confident on cleaning and maintenance of equipment and will learn good customer service, team work and dealing with external agencies.

What is your background?

I have a vast range of picture framing experience including 12 years workshop experience. I have worked in a small business and learnt about operating a small business as well as developing my picture framing skills. My framing skills range from framing a basic picture i.e. frame, backing and glass to larger complex framing.
