What services does this enterprise have to offer and who are the customers?

FLT offers both theory and practical training on counterbalance and reach forklift trucks in a warehouse environment.

Forklift Training, FLT, A Kibble Enterprise

Potential customers will be individuals hoping to enhance their career prospects with a forklift licence and companies who wish to train their staff to increase the number of forklift truck drivers. There will be an internal customer base who will benefit from this licence.

What activities and tasks will the young person perform?

There will be no youth placements in FLT but this will be used as a training activity for the young people and will work in close association with KibbleWorks Warehouse.

What transferable skills will the young person take from this role?

The young person can progress to an environment which requires his skills as a forklift truck driver, and his appreciation of teamwork and a strong regard for health and safety and acting responsibly.

What qualifications can they work towards?

What is your background?

I have a lot of warehousing experience, which included using different forms of forklift trucks. I then gained my instructors licence, which resulted in my providing training for major companies such as B & Q, Asda and Homebase on a self employed basis.
